To keep your project on schedule and avoid unexpected delays, it’s important to submit complete, properly formatted print files. Use this checklist to make sure your files are press-ready before sending them to your Omnipress project manager.
Preferred File Types
- High-resolution PDF (preferred)
- We also accept native design files from Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
- If you’re using Canva, export a high-quality PDF with bleed and crop marks enabled
File Preparation Checklist
- All fonts are embedded or outlined
- All images are high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) – learn more about image resolutions here.
- All artwork and photos are in CMYK color mode (not RGB)
- Page size matches your intended trim size
- If your design has bleeds, include a minimum of 1/8″ bleed on all sides
- Text and important elements are at least 3/8″ from the trim edge (within the safe zone)
- If exporting a high-resolution PDF be sure to include bleed and set your crop offset to .125″
If Submitting Native Files
- Use the “Package” or “Collect for Output” feature in Adobe InDesign to include fonts and linked graphics
- Provide a PDF proof for reference
Additional Tips
- Double-check your page count and confirm it aligns with your chosen binding style
- Make sure your final file includes all front and back covers if they’re part of your design
If you’re unsure whether your files are set up correctly, don’t worry—your Omnipress project manager will review your files and reach out if anything needs adjusting.
